Jade Emperor Pagoda - Phuoc Hai Tu - Chua Ngoc Hoang: 73 Duong Mai Thi Luu. Built 1909 by the Cantonese community, very colorfoul, with phantastic statues of divinities. In the main sanctuary you find the Jade Emperor (Ngoc Hoang). This Taoist figure is the "god of the heavens", he decides who will enter and who will be refused. In a room to the left you'll find Kim Hua, a goddess of fertility, and Thanh Hoang, the King of Hell. Carved wooden panels show the tortures that await the damned.
